Lonie & Chrystal Parker met in 2010, and have been sharing their love of bbq ever since! They started farming in 2012, raising cows & pigs, with lots of love! Their farm, The Flying Pig farm is located in Waltham at their home. Lonie has been doing pig roasts ever since he can remember. Friends and family would always say "OMG, it's so yummy, you should open a restaurant". Well, they sorta did that! Lonie, his father Roger Parker Sr, and close friend, Don Sorrell, and even a little help from the kids Grady and Dakota, built the food truck, custom, from the ground up! In May 2017, Porky's Backyard BBQ opened it's "windows" for the first time. November of 2017 Porky's moved into a deli, which also had seating, at 15 North Main St in Vergennes. Now, they have bought and opened Porky's Place at 7404 Ethan Allen Highway, New Haven VT. They continue to use the truck for special events, and at the restaurant, are always busy changing, adding, and making the menu better! Offering grass fed beef burgers, fresh ground pork burgers from the farm, fresh cut fries, homemade baked beans, coleslaw, fried cabbage, etc.... They even do pizzas, calzones, and wings!
